HOW WE DID IT
ORIGINAL, LONGFORM CONTENT
TECH B2B BUYERS SURVEY
At the beginning of our work with Isoline, we wanted to create a longform piece of content that would drive traffic to the Isoline website whilst also providing link building opportunities. Through careful keyword research, we identified a content gap: Nobody was asking tech B2B buyers what they really wanted from the content that influenced their purchasing decisions.
To answer this question and to establish Isoline as a worthy resource provider for other B2B Content Marketers, we constructed a survey that asked 127 B2B decision makers how they consumed content.
Once the survey was completed, we created a new Resource Centre section on the Isoline website, and posted the results in a longform content piece onto an optimised, newly constructed page.
INCREASING THE NUMBER OF REFERRING DOMAINS
We then undertook strategic outreach, contacting relevant websites in the B2B sector to share the results of our survey and to collect links from these posts to aid our link building strategy.
The survey gained traction, with our outreach in December 2019 and January 2020 leading to a significant increase in referring domains. Multiple high authority domains like Coschedule, HighSpot and Elite Content Marketer got ahold of the survey and wrote their own content pieces sourcing our statistics.
This provided the first initial boost to Isoline’s organic traffic, and to date their referring domains increase Year on Year.
IDENTIFYING A PROFITABLE CONTENT GAP

To capitalise on the initial increase in organic traffic that our piece of longform content had provided, we once again utilised keyword research in order to identify whether there were other keywords that were being missed by competitors.
An example of this was that, through this keyword research, we discovered that Tech B2B Copywriting was an area being overlooked by Isoline’s competitors, and was also in general being underrepresented in the form of content or information.
Using this information, we built an SEO optimised page on Isoline’s website that provided a comprehensive explanation of the service and stressed its importance within Content Marketing. Immediately we saw results, and the page now ranks on the first page of Google for B2B Copywriting.
DEFINED TECHNICAL OPTIMISATION STRATEGY
CONSISTENT LANDING PAGE OPTIMISATIONS, INTERNAL LINKING, KEYWORD SPECIFIC BLOG STRATEGY AND MORE!
Finally, we provided a range of other additional technical SEO optimisation services. These included 404 redirects, fixing broken links and redirecting internal links to build a more secure site hierarchy.
In addition, we optimised the existing content on the Isoline page and expanded this out to be better search engine optimised by adding in relevant, targeted keywords. Then, we structured a blog content calendar for Isoline that included researched topics that would bridge additional content gaps, and establish Isoline as a source of authority by providing relevant, valuable insights to site visitors.
The results speak for themselves with a continual linear increase in organic traffic.
